After two "close encounters" with other witnesses, Darryl decided to find out all he could about UFOs. In his research, he also began reading on "Paranormal" subjects to broaden his research and adquire a greater understanding of the metaphysical field of knowledge. In 1983 he met a practicing channel and followed the messages for several months and was amazed at the consistency and quality of the information. The entity offered to teach those interested and Darryl joined the class, not with the intention of becoming a channel, but rather to learn more about the process. Midway through the course he received a "telepathic" message from Bashar who allegedly was in the UFO he had seen and was told he had made an agreement prior to this life to channel him. "Bashar" is Arabic for "messenger". Darryl says, "I always make it clear to people that they do not have to believe that “Bashar” is really an extraterrestrial in telepathic communication with me during the channelings. Darryl Anka started his Hollywood career as a visual and special effects artist who has worked on, among many others, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, I Robot, Pirates of the Caribbean, Die Hard 4 and Iron Man. After that he started working as a producer and writer. He is also an internationally known channeller, speaker and author with sales of over 300,000 books in Japan. Anka began to communicate, through trance-channeling, with an extra-terrestrial entity called Bashar in 1983. He describes Bashar as existing in a parallel reality, in a time frame that we perceive as the future.
